MAKES 12 BALLS
Incest may be frowned upon in Girl World, but this fan favorite meal could impress even your sexiest relatives. That’s not right, is it? Whatever, if you’d rather sit around chowing down on comfort-carbs with your bitches while complaining about how fat you are instead, then be our guest.
You’re a mouse, DUH! Soooo, you’re obviously obsessed with cheese. Well, we’ve taken an easy household favorite and got a little cheffy with it so all of your li’l mouse friends will think that you belong on Chopped and that this cheesy delight never came from a box!
Mouse Tips & Tricks: Stir pancetta or bacon bits into the mac and cheese before pouring into the pan for a salty, meaty spin; or try garlic and parsley for an herby Italian twist.
• Start the night before you want to make the balls. Make the mac and cheese according to the package instructions, but use chicken broth instead of regular water to boil the pasta, because it adds so much more flavor! Pour the mac and cheese into a 9x9-inch baking dish (or whatever you have that is close in size), cover, and let set overnight in the refrigerator.
• The next day, preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan. Then line up three bowls on your counter. Bowl #1: Add the flour. Bowl #2: Crack in your egg and lightly beat it. Bowl #3: Add the breadcrumbs. Remove your chilled dish of mac and cheese from the fridge, scoop out a 2x2-inch piece, and use your hands to roll into a mac and cheese ball. Dredge the ball through the flour, then the egg, then the breadcrumbs. Continue this ball-making and dredging process until all the chilled mac and cheese is used up. Place the cheese balls in the muffin pan and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until semi firm. Remove from oven and enjoy!
