2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper

4 teaspoons dried oregano

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium lemon, cut into 4 wedges

Tuna

The best way to eat tuna steaks is by searing them. The center is raw, but you still get a nice brown top. Cook for about 112 minutes per side for rare; give it an extra minute for medium-rare.

  1. Season the tuna steaks evenly with the salt, pepper, and oregano.
  2. In a medium pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  3. Place the tuna steaks in the hot oil and sear for 112 minutes on each side.
  4. Make sure that every corner has been seared. This will give you a rare temperature. Cook for another minute on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Serve immediately, and squeeze lemon juice (from wedges) on steaks.
