Turmeric Deviled Eggs

The classic deviled egg taste that you love with a boost of anti-inflammatory goodness from the turmeric.

Ingredients

6 jumbo eggs

1 tablespoon ground turmeric

14 cup homemade mayonnaise

18 teaspoon salt

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Smoked paprika for garnish

Variation

Want to add more taste and a little bit of crunch to this recipe? Add 1 tablespoon finely chopped onions or shallots.

  1. Add the eggs to a medium saucepan. Add enough water to fully cover the eggs. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Turn off the heat and leave covered for 10 more minutes. Remove the eggs from the hot water, and rinse with cold water. Let the eggs cool down for 5 minutes.
  3. Once cool, peel the eggs and cut in half lengthwise.
  4. Scoop out the egg yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
  5. Put the egg whites on a serving platter.
  6. Add the turmeric, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper to the eggs yolks. Mix until creamy.
  7. Put a heaping spoonful of the yolk mixture into each egg white.
  8. Sprinkle some smoked paprika for garnish.
