Tart cherries have been shown to contain compounds that deliver a powerful anti-inflammatory punch. Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University state that tart cherries “have the highest anti-inflammatory content of any food, including blueberries, pomegranates, and other fruits.”

1 cup pitted tart cherries
1 cup light coconut milk
1⁄2 cup blueberries
1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
Add all the ingredients to a blender, adding the coconut oil last. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy with a blueberry or cherry garnish.
