War
A tale of courage, a defiant roar,
mingled with bloodshed and the sound of war.
Running in the grass, streaked with red,
where heroes fought, where soldiers bled.
Soldiers’ faces, gleaming and bright,
Tears shed in the dead of night.
Brave ones rush into the line of fire,
A screaming sound, a distorted choir.
A young boy watches from afar,
And sees a doorway left ajar.
A body lying on red tainted floor,
a father dies, a splash of gore.
