Organize a Group

A quick way to turn your life around and move in a happier direction is to focus on your passion. Involving others means you’ll keep your attention on the work of the organization and stay focused. If some life event has sparked your passion for something—be it clean air or water, animal rights, human rights, eco-travel, organic winemaking, or something else—consider how you might create a movement or at least an organization to promote interest in your idea. Upon awakening, when your mind is refreshed from sleep, set aside time to do some mindful breathing.

Begin meditating on ideas for a new life direction. Focus on what speaks powerfully to your heart. Can you develop a vision for a long-range project that addresses your strongest passion? If so, what might be some of the action steps to create an organization that addresses your keen interest? Write down your ideas in a journal. Focus on the meaning they bring to your life and why you’d want to spend weeks, months, even years involved in the work of a group that shares your zeal. When you feel your head and heart are aligned around your vision, write out the steps and begin to actualize it.
