Choose Love

Overfocusing on your problems or worrying about the future disables your ability to tune in to love and happiness. If you question your relationships or expect that certain things in your life are unlikely to work out, then you’ll strip away at the love inside of you. Rather than continue these patterns, choose to focus on self-love by telling yourself, Choosing to love myself comes more easily now. I am learning to listen to the needs of my body and spirit.

Self-love is not as complicated or overwhelming as you might think. The act of pausing and taking a drink of water is a demonstration of love. Noticing the temperature of the water as it runs over your hands while washing dishes is a way to connect to love. Love is in the moment; it is right now, as you are reading this. It is recognizing the happiness all around you and celebrating that happiness. Pay attention to how your body responds to the experiences and interactions of your day without judgment. Soak up moments that offer you connections to the moment. These are all part of love.
