Fulfill a Dream

When you put your dreams on hold to help someone else attain his or hers, your selfless action is praiseworthy. However, if you wait too long to chase your own visions, conditions for achieving them may change, your priorities might shift, or you may abandon all hope of ever attaining your dreams. You get married, have children, and realize that you are too busy meeting the demands of daily life head-on. Alternatively, perhaps you still secretly nurture the idea of achieving your cherished dream and just thinking about it fills you with excitement, energy, and a sense of adventure.

A ritual might help jump-start it again. Begin this process by writing your dream on a card in felt-tip marker. Holding the card in your palms, do the following:

1. Mentally banish fear; release limited and discouraging beliefs.

2. Kindle feelings of self-worth for your desire to have that dream.

3. Ask the universe for what you want; use precise language.

4. Open yourself to opportunities that make achieving your dream possible.

5. Let go and trust that your dream has moved from a state of improbable to certain attainment.
