Replace Negative Self-Talk

The greatest obstacle to achieving what we want and finding happiness is ourselves. Time and again we talk ourselves out of being happy, sending negative vibrations throughout the universe. This is an exercise to do if you find that your affirmations are not working and something seems to be blocking your ability to attract what you want.

1. Sit quietly and clear your mind, concentrating on your breathing.

2. When your mind is calm and unburdened, review your thoughts during the past twenty-four hours.

3. How many of these thoughts were positive and affirming?

4. How many of these thoughts were negative self-talk or not accurate portrayals of reality?

5. If the negative thoughts have been outweighing the positive ones, flip the equation. Strengthen your positive thoughts, making them as specific as possible.
