Nick peeled the wrapper off a Hershey’s Kiss and popped the chocolate in his mouth.

The writing had been enjoyable. It came much more naturally than he’d expected.

He felt like a paleontologist carefully uncovering a long-buried fossil.

He knew there would be some deep, dark places to visit, if he was going to do things right. But, at the moment, he felt ready for an adventure.
