DARLENE FRANKLIN

Award-winning author and speaker Darlene Franklin recently returned to cowboy country—Oklahoma. The move was prompted by her desire to be close to her son’s family; her daughter Jolene has preceded her into glory. Darlene loves music, needlework, reading, and reality TV. Talia, a Lynx point Siamese cat, proudly claims Darlene as her person. Darlene has published several titles with Barbour Publishing.

DARLENE MINDRUP

Darlene Mindrup is a full-time homemaker and home-school teacher. Once a ‘radical feminist,’ she fanned her independent streak in the army, then turned into a ‘radical Christian’ after a heart changing encounter with the Lord. Darlene lives in Arizona with her husband and two children. She believes ‘romance is for everyone, not just the young and beautiful.’ She has a passion for historical research, which is obvious in her detailed historical novels about places time seems to have forgotten.

TAMELA HANCOCK MURRAY

Tamela Hancock Murray lives in Northern Virginia with her two daughters and her husband of over twenty years. She keeps busy with church and school activities, but in her spare-time she’s written seven Bible trivia books and twenty Christian romance novels and novellas.

LYNETTE SOWELL

Lynette Sowell’s early love of books sparked her love of story and sense of adventure. She works as a medical transcriptionist for a large HMO during the day. In her spare time she loves to write, read, travel, and spend time with her family. Lynette hopes she’s earned the title of honorary Texan after making it her home for nearly fifteen years. Its wide skies and open spaces have fed her creativity. She lives with her husband, two kids by love and marriage (what’s a stepkid?), and a herd of five cats who have them all well trained. You can visit her Web site at www.lynettesowell.com.

MICHELLE ULE

Navy wife Michelle Ule is a writer, genealogist, and Bible study leader. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in English Literature and married a submarine officer whom she followed all over the world with their four children. Michelle lives in northern California with her family.

KATHLEEN Y’BARBO

Kathleen is a multipublished award-winning author of Christian fiction who also writes under the name Kathleen Y’Barbo. She is the former treasurer of American Christian Fiction Writers, as well as a member of Words for the Journey Christian Writers’ Guild, Inspirational Writers Alive, Fellowship of Christian Writers, Writers’ Information Network, Houston Paralegal Association, and the Writers’ Guild. The proud mother of a daughter and three sons, she makes her home with her husband in Oklahoma.

Kathleen’s historicals often include settings in the Old West, which is her favorite topic for research. From Texas Rangers to Arizona outlaws, she loves learning about the Old West and the men and women who settled there.
