Cupcake Soap with Frosting
These are delightful soaps to make and use! I sprinkled the tops of mine using the soap sprinkles method found on page 72. The process is twofold, so be prepared to make this over two days.
Makes 6 cupcake-shaped soaps
Additional Supplies:
disposable piping bag and tips
silicone cupcake mold
Ingredients:
1 Basic Soap Recipe (page 14)
1 French Macarons Soap Recipe (page 62)
color and scent, if desired (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, or almond are always great cupcake scents to go with, but get creative!)
Method:
Make your Basic Soap recipe according to the instructions on page 14 and pour evenly into 6 cupcake molds. Set aside to harden overnight. The next day, remove your cupcakes from their mold and set on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Make French Macarons recipe according to instructions on page 62, mixing until you have a pipe-able consistency. If you want to add color, do so now, otherwise spoon your mixture into a piping bag topped with the tip of your choice.
Squeeze a small amount into the middle of your cupcake and swirl the rest around, starting from the outside and working in to the tiptop middle frosting. If you want to add soap sprinkles or other topping, do so now. Once you’ve frosted all your cupcakes, set them aside in a safe place to set and cure for 4 to 6 weeks. Feel free to admire your handiwork because these are lovely!
