High T1 and T2 relaxation times are indicative of inflammation (DM). Fat infitration and replacement are shown by low T1 and high T2 relaxation times. Fatigue and weakness were quantified on a visual analog scale, with 0 meaning no fatigue or weakness and 10 meaning severe fatigue or weakness.
