We’ve already done the research and development, and we know the costs of manufacture and the expenses involved in delivery of services. What we’d like to know from you is your opinion about how the companies you deal with would respond.

We’re approaching the end of the fiscal year, and we’d like to clear out the inventory before the accountants invade the warehouse.
Between now and September 30, every commission-based sales representative is automatically enrolled in the Clean Sweep contest. Cash prizes of $500, $1,000, and $1,500 will be awarded to the representatives who book the highest total orders in the period. An additional $500 award will be given to the representative who brings in the largest order from a new customer.

Please join me in congratulating Jock Fleming as the winner of this year’s Clean Sweep contest. Second prize was awarded to Arlene Calderon, and third prize to William Cogle. The special award for the representative who brought in the largest order from a new customer was taken by Janice Henry.
The Sales Department will celebrate the completion of the fiscal year and the ceremonial handing-over of the award envelopes at a reception on Friday, October 1, at 1 P.M. Be sure to leave room for dessert.

Our custom manufacturing division has received a rush order for some equipment that will require special efforts for delivery and installation. We would like to invite your company to meet with our manager of special projects to see whether there are ways in which we can cooperate to fulfill this large and important order.
Specifically, we are seeking assistance in rush deliveries of raw materials to our plant and extra-wide heavy-load flatbed trailers to transport manufactured devices from our plant to the customer about 50 miles from Lumbertown.
