ABOUT THE EDITORS

Senior Editor David F. Forte is Professor of Law at Cleveland State University. Forte is a graduate of Harvard College and holds an M.A. from the University of Manchester, a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, and a law degree from Columbia University. A former Chief Counsel to the United States delegation to the United Nations, a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow, and a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Forte writes and lectures on a wide range of topics, including international law, constitutional law, natural law, and jurisprudence. He served as book review editor for the American Journal of Jurisprudence and is editor of Natural Law and Contemporary Public Policy.

Executive Editor Matthew Spalding is Associate Vice President and Dean of Educational Programs for Hillsdale College in Washington, D.C., and the Henry Salvatori Visiting Fellow at The Heritage Foundation. Spalding is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and holds a Ph.D. from The Claremont Graduate School. An Associate Professor of Politics at Hillsdale College and a Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute, he is the author of We Still Hold These Truths: Rediscovering Our Principles, Reclaiming Our Future, co-author of A Sacred Union of Citizens: Washington’s Farewell Address and the American Character, and editor of The Founders’ Almanac: A Practical Guide to the Notable Events, Greatest Leaders & Most Eloquent Words of the American Founding.
