Avvertenza: per tracciare una filmografia completa di Derek Jarman è necessario includere anche tutta la vasta produzione di home video in super8, parte integrante della sua produzione. Questo di per sé presenta qualche difficoltà. Jarman aveva l’abitudine di riprendere, rilavorare e rititolare continuamente i suoi super8 inserendoli spesso in successivi film. In alcuni casi, la datazione risulta quindi approssimativa, viste anche le contraddittorie dichiarazioni del regista e la loro non sempre affidabile data d’archiviazione. È difficile inoltre essere precisi anche sulla loro durata poiché Jarman aveva previsto di proiettarli a velocità spesso inferiore ai 24 fotogrammi al secondo.
