This tubby little feline, with its fluffy, bunlike body and appetizing aroma, has been one of America’s top breeds for decades—though it’s recently lost ground to the Tacocat (here) and the Kittychanga (here).
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Available in two major varieties: sesame seed bun and regular bun. A vegetarian Royale with Fleas recently appeared, but fans of the traditional breed complain that it “just isn’t the same.”
HEALTH
In spite of its name, the Royale with Fleas doesn’t actually carry these bloodsucking parasites. It is, however, absolutely chock-full of cholesterol and sodium.
BREEDING
The Royale’s tiny kittens are known as “sliders.”
