Over the centuries Beard Cats have been the neck-borne companions of numerous historical figures, including the Russian monk Rasputin, who reportedly hosted four of them in his prodigious facial hair.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The breed rarely weighs more than three or four pounds, lessoning neck strain on its human companions.

Somewhat coarse and prone to scratching.
