PROJECT 38
SODA BOTTLE ANTI-DRIP COOLER
I found this idea on Pinterest, and saw how easy it was to do.
Not only is it easy to do, but it serves the purpose of keeping drips contained if you serve juice or Kool-Aid in a push spout cooler.
I like keeping a container of sports drink when we are working out on our land, and drips from the cooler can attract flies and other bugs.
The Materials
Material:
• 2 liter plastic bottle
Tools:
• Scissors
Procedure:
Cut the bottle into an “L” shape
1. Cut the top off of a plastic soda bottle.
2. Cut down and leave an “L” shape at the bottom.
3. Cut a small hole in the top large enough to hang over the spigot of a drink cooler.
Hang from cooler spigot to catch drips
Lessons Learned:
Besides the hand eye coordination of cutting (for smaller kids), this project enforces the mindset of reduce, reuse, recycle as it uses trash to make something useful.
