AUTHOR’S NOTE

This is a story based on the real world of Hollywood and America in the 1940s and 1950s. It’s also the fictional world of a girl who lived in this time and place. Some elements come solely from my imagination, while some historical facts have been juggled to serve the story. For example, The Bells of St. Mary’s was not filmed at a convent school. But for the thrill it gives Jesse, my young admirer of Ingrid Bergman, I couldn’t resist.
