Brett
Why do I feel so comfortable with this woman? She seems to know me so well. I know her, her body, and what to do to make her go crazy.
I finally pull back from her. “Let’s put some clothes on, and I’ll feed you.” I hand her a button-up shirt of mine that is way too big for her. “You look adorable in my shirt.
Her cheeks turn the cutest shade of pink. She’s so fucking cute.
“Let’s go find some food. I just bought some groceries, so I should have some food. I’ll make you whatever you want.”
She follows me to the kitchen. “Why are you being so nice to me? We just met, and I came home with a perfect stranger.”
I turn and face her as we reach the kitchen. “There is something about you that feels so familiar. I can’t put my finger on it. But I know you somehow. I know that sounds crazy.”
Her eyes blink a few times. “How is that possible? We’ve never met. I feel a connection, but I also feel like a…slut. I’ve never gone home with a man that I didn’t know before. I swear, this is not me.”
I put my finger on her lips. “First of all, you are not a slut. You are a beautiful woman that I seem to know somehow. Second, I want to get to know you better. I have this, this…need to know you. Third, let’s eat. I’m starving. I want sustenance so I can ravish you later.” I smile at her and pull her into the kitchen.
My kitchen is a large country kitchen. It has track lighting, a farmhouse sink, and cabinets all around the room. The island is huge, just like I like it. The marble countertops are light; I can’t stand dark ones; dark is too hard to clean.
I pull her to me, take her by her waist, and lift her up so she is sitting on the island.
“What does my lady want to eat? Eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes…whatever you want.”
“Coffee and toast? I don’t eat much breakfast.” She shrugs.
“Oh baby, you’ll need some food to keep you going later.” I give her my most fabulous smile.
She looks at me in disbelief. “What makes you think I’ll be here later?”
I walk over to her from where I am putting the bacon in the skillet on the stove. I put my hands on her ass and pull her close to me. “I think you don’t want to leave. I think you like me as much as I like you. Or at least I’m hoping you do. I plan on ravishing your hot little body again after breakfast.”
Her cheeks pink up, so fucking adorable. “Brett, what makes you think that?” She smiles that beautiful smile of hers.
I put my hand on her cheek, cupping it gently. “Baby, don’t you feel it? I’m not just saying this, but I feel a connection with you that I’ve never felt before. I want so badly to keep you here with me all the time. I know that sounds creepy, but seriously, don’t you feel the connection?”
Her eyes focus on mine. Like she’s trying to see inside me. A tear slips from her eye and rolls down her other beautiful cheek. “I feel something. I’m not sure what it is because I’ve never had this feeling before. How do we know, after one day and some great sex, that this is real?”
I take her hand and put it on my chest, over my heart. I do the same to her. “Our hearts are meant to be, Libby. Meant to love each other. Life’s too short to waste it. I want to spend it with you. If you can handle the rodeo life, I’ll do whatever I can to make you happy.”
More tears slip from her eyes. “I’m scared.”
“Me too, baby. Me too.” I swipe my thumb across her cheek wiping the tears away. “Up until a couple of months ago, I was living with a woman. I thought she was it, but she wasn’t. I didn’t feel for her what I’m feeling for you. I want us to give this thing a try. What do ya say?”
“I want that too, Brett. Just bear with me as I navigate waters I’ve never been in before.” She leans down and kisses my lips.
I hear the bacon sizzle on the stove and pull back. “You’ll see, we’ll make this work.”
Walking over to the stove, I start to flip the bacon over. I glance back at Libby. “You were sent to me from Heaven above, babe. You’ll see.”
She smiles.
