SERVES 6
TOTAL TIME: 25 minutes
If fig jam is not available, you can substitute caramelized onion or apricot jam. Also, 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley can be substituted for the scallions.
1 |
tablespoon olive oil |
2 |
(8-inch) naan breads |
¼ |
cup fig jam |
1 |
teaspoon water |
⅛ |
teaspoon pepper |
2 |
ounces blue cheese, crumbled (½ cup) |
2 |
ounces thinly sliced prosciutto, cut into 1-inch strips |
¼ |
teaspoon fresh thyme leaves |
2 |
scallions, sliced thin |
1. Adjust oven rack to lowest position and heat oven to 500 degrees. Brush baking sheet with oil and lay naan on sheet. Whisk fig jam with water to loosen, then spread evenly over each naan, leaving ½-inch border around edge. Sprinkle pepper, blue cheese, prosciutto, and thyme evenly over top.
2. Bake until naan are golden brown around edges, 8 to 10 minutes, rotating baking sheet halfway through baking. Sprinkle with scallions, cut each tart into 6 wedges, and serve.
