Between Riverside and Crazy received its world premiere on July 31, 2014 at the Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) in New York City. It was directed by Austin Pendleton; the set design was by Walt Spangler, the costume design was by Alexis Forte, the lighting design was by Keith Parham, the music and sound design were by Ryan Rumery; the production stage manager was Kelly Ice. The cast was:

This production of Between Riverside and Crazy transferred to Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) in New York City on February 11, 2015. The cast and personnel remained the same with the following exceptions: the production stage manager was David Sugarman and Junior was played by Ron Cephas Jones.
