for almost three decades, Caroline Adams Miller, MAPP, has been a pioneer with her groundbreaking work in the areas of addiction, well-being, and success. She is one of the first people to get a master’s degree in the science of applied positive psychology and is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on the science linking happiness, goal-setting, and grit. Caroline speaks to audiences around the world and maintains a thriving executive coaching practice focused on goal accomplishment. She has taught in a number of schools and is a guest lecturer at the Wharton School Executive MBA program. She is also one of the first happiness experts to join and advise Happify, the world’s largest pioneering online tool dedicated to assessing and amplifying well-being through evidence-based games and activities. Caroline is the author of five books, including Positively Caroline, My Name Is Caroline, and Creating Your Best Life, and has been featured in hundreds of magazines, newspapers, and other media outlets worldwide, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, US News & World Report, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, and CNN. She was the first positive psychology expert on satellite radio with her “Positive Tip of the Day” and in 2013 won the Mentoring award from the George Washington University School of Business for her decades of helping others achieve their goals. Caroline graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and is a black belt in Hapkido and a top-ranked Masters swimmer in multiple events. She resides with her husband, Haywood, outside Washington, DC, and has three grown children and an adorable schnoodle named Alpha.
