Chapter 12: Ninja Farts In Tokyo’s Pop Cult

If you ask me, Apart from Japan's weirdnesses, Tokyo is one of the most exciting city's of the world.

Japan has also the most beautiful flag if you ask me.

A big red circle on a white background - simple but yet effective and just like my skateboard riding style - hahahahahahahahah!

I admire Tokyo for many things that we don't have back at home.

Japan, for example, has the most epic Mangas, comic book and video game characters, weird tactile technology and design, hip pop culture, weird kitsch color combinations, tiny things, inhabitants that love progress and out of the box thinking, and photography.

When I think about Tokyo or Japan I think about things like the Tamagotchi, the Ninja Robot and The Floppy Disk.

I also think about weird toys like the Turtle Bots, the Tuttuki Bako Finger Game, the Hex Bug Robot Cockroaches, the Gotochi Dissection Animals, the God Jesus Robot, the Rocobo Electronic Pets, the Japanese Look Alike Dolls, the Yujin Cell Phone Emoticon Toys, the Kannichi Ryotsu, the Carp Person toy, the Obama figure toy, and some weird looking soybean keychains.

Don't believe me go into a toy store yourself and you'll be amazed. In fact, I still have not digested my toy tour after breakfast.

This brings me to some more weird facts that is the toilet training for toddlers like the Shimajiro Toilet Training Tiger and the Baby toy. This toilet training game is a huge bestseller over here and the Japanese approach potty training a little bit less conservative than we do. In fact, they have the weirdest approach and the toy comes complete with animated poop and talking toilets. The potty training toy features an animated tiger struggling with potty training and his animated personified poopy stuff. It gets even weirder because the accompanying toy attaches to the toilet paper roll and yells out empowering phrases like "Go Boy Go!".

Which brings me to another association. The toilet seats here in Tokyo are heated. Toilets can also wash and dry and some do even play funky music for distraction.

I am truly inspired by this toilet fun and this empowers me to get started with my research concerning the food because I have a feeling that we can beat the competition with some the weird looking Japanese food options.

I am almost positive that this weird Japanese food choice will accelerate El Ninjo's farty steams. Maybe some steamy hot bean or Miso soup first and some sushi with spicy green wasabi paste will do the job.

In the meantime, I'll tell you what I truly find inspiring. I already told you that I like Martial Arts and my ninja skateboarding style is inspired by it.

The techniques of Jujutsu, Karate, Ninjutsu and Okinawa are no strange disciplines to me.

With martial arts I am going to win this race today like once a Samurai warrior did who was at first defeated but at a very low point his vision was transformed into a new way of viewing life and the means of defense and survival became crystal clear to him.

As I am mentally preparing myself for the competition, I am learning some new manners that one has to respect very strictly here in Japan.

For example, it is polite to take off your shoes if you are entering into a private place like someone's home. You always have to address people by adding the word "San" to their name. You should never say: "See you later!" if in fact you already know that this will never happen.

This etiquette stuff brings me to the last curious fact that I want to tell you about before the race begins.

Some Japanese numbers are considered to be lucky or unlucky. For example the numbers 3, 5, and 7 are lucky numbers, while the numbers 4 and 9 are unlucky numbers.

I am in luck because the calendar counts the 7th of the month today. There is also the number 3 in this year's number which means good luck and hopefully a winning race.

Tokyo has a beautiful geographic location and it is the capital of Japan. It is also the center of the "Greater Tokyo Area". It is the largest metropolitan area in the world just to give you a better perspective on what kind of place this is.

Tokyo is the seat of the Japanese government and the Imperial Palace. Tokyo is considered the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu. It also includes the Izu Islands and the Ogasawara Islands.

Since I am on a mission to win this competition, let me tell you a bit about the Tokyo Olympic games situation.

Tokyo hosted the Summer Olympics in 1964. Tokyo is currently a candidate city for the Summer Olympic Games in 2020!

How awesome is this?

I definitely will keep this fact in mind because in 2020 I will be reaching my legal age of adulthood and will be able to participate in an official Olympic game as a contestant.

My dream is to become the official world Olympic athlete and representative for fart skateboarding. I hope my dream become a reality some day!

Instead of choosing Tokyo Disneyland, Roppongi, Harajuku, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Imperial Palace, Tokyo DisneySea, Rainbow Bridge, Yasukuni Shrine, or Edo Castle for the competition we start the race at Kyoto.

It is the most romantic and most beautiful site that I have ever seen. The natural beauty of the place is just stunning with light pink cherry blossoms and the soft greens of the bonsais. The mountain of Mount Fuji is covered in snow and stands out in an air that is still crisp and clear.

Our bean blowing skateboard Martial Arts Ninja freestyle discipline is hopefully not polluting the air too much because this scenery is something so precious and pristine and it really has to be preserved carefully.

I am so happy for this location because it gives me lots of artistic room to play with.

The shrines and temples of Kyoto offer a rare fart freestyle skateboarding opportunity. As we fly through the sky, I don't know if I am in a modern life reality or in the ancient past.

We fly empowered by a combination of El Ninjo's Ninja wasabi rich green fart spits and my own spiritual power Martial Arts skateboard Judo. We tumble in a Salto Mortale in Japanese style over a group of giggling and beautifully coiffed black haired heads of the most white faced Geishas that I have ever seen.

We also fly over the roof of the Fushimi Inari Shrine and some amazingly ancient and exotic looking life-sized Thousand Armed Kannon statues of Sanjūsangen-dō. We finish our Ninja fart skateboarding Judo race with Kamo Rive.

What an awesome Dojo experience I am thinking to myself!

Again, we are the triumphing winners of the Tokyo skateboarding race and our out of the box thinking with the Ninja Wasabi farts has again catapulted us to the top of the leaderboard.

We only have a few other destinations ahead of us. These exceptional and unique Japanese Martial Art skateboard experiences have taught us many lessons for even more strategic Martial Art fart skateboarding moves in the future.

This day gifts me with an awesome and unforgettable souvenir. Today's experiences in Tokyo are motivating me to keep up this Nina skateboard fart discipline with my best friend El Ninjo and his green vapor style bean steams.

Some day in the future I will be qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics!

I can feel that our discipline has all the qualities to qualify for a true Olympic sports discipline because in 2020 the world is going to be ready for Ninja Skateboard Farts!

Excited and empowered on a higher motivational level than ever before, we leave the site to join our next destination: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Just one last thing that you need to keep in mind for your next vacation in Tokyo.

Bring lots of time because you will never get bored.

Do not worry about your budget. You can meet locals and find a host who offers couch-surfing for a low prize.

Try as much local food as you can, even if you don't know what it is (unless you have are allergic to seafood!)

Lastly, don't forget to buy some funny souvenirs and toys from a 100 Yen Shops to amaze your friends back home.

Gosh, Tokyo what a fun shopping time!

Between Tokyo and Rio we have a very long flying time and I am spending the flight to mentally focus on the strategic defense. The competition is almost going to an end and we only have 3 more destinations in front of us.

The last 3 races are taking place in South America and in North America my home country.

The next time I open my eyes, I can see one of Rio's most beautiful landmarks, the larger than life Jesus figure!
