Michael is the former chairman and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, the largest faith-based publisher in the world and now part of HarperCollins. He began his career at Word Publishing while a senior at Baylor University. In the thirty-five years since then, he has worked in nearly every facet of book publishing.
He is also an expert in the field of social media. His blog, MichaelHyatt.com, is ranked by Google in the top one-half percent of all blogs with more than 450,000 unique visitors a month. He has readers in more than two hundred countries.
His podcast, This Is Your Life, is consistently in the Top Ten in the Business category on iTunes and downloaded by more than 300,000 people a month. He has more than 215,000 followers on Twitter. He has appeared on more than 100 television shows, including several on ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN. He has also been on more than 1,000 syndicated and local radio shows.
Michael has been married to his wife, Gail, for thirty-seven years. They have five daughters, four sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren. They live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
Over the past twenty-five years, Daniel Harkavy has coached thousands of business leaders to peak levels of performance, profitability, and fulfillment. In 1996, he harnessed his passion for coaching teams and leaders to found Building Champions, where he serves as CEO and executive coach. Today the company has nearly fifty employees, with a team of twenty executive and leadership coaches who provide guidance to thousands of clients and organizations. Prior to Building Champions, Daniel spent ten years in the mortgage banking industry, eight of which were focused on coaching and team development. His career in finance was fast-tracked after quickly developing his team into the company’s most productive and profitable group. Daniel attributes his success to creating healthy and productive cultures.
Daniel lives in West Linn, Oregon, with his wife and family, where he actively serves his community as a member of nonprofit boards and a mentor to those seeking his advice. His other passions include surfing, snowboarding, and hanging out with his family.
