In the lifetime of the remarkable Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler (1707–1783), seven bridges crossed the Pregel River in Konigsberg, shown in the diagram below:
Euler asked whether or not it was possible to cross all seven bridges without passing twice on any bridge. Solution page 140.
