DAMPER WHEN CAMPING

3 cups of self-rising flour, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 cup of water.

Find several green sticks. Mix ingredients together. Press the dough around one end of stick to form an oblong-like shape (rather like a large hot dog). Ensure other end of stick is free of dough, to use as a handle. Place on fire’s hot coals. Turn several times during cooking, approx. 20–30 minutes. Eat hot with butter and jam. Serves 6.
