One would think that sex could be a problem for Shys. And, for some who have performance problems, it can be. However only a small percentage of Shys have difficulties with sex.38 It is getting the right partner that is the challenge.
Shys have a greater need to connect with someone because they are more sensitive.39 Shys often are more intense about their love relationships, so there can be complications.40
Shy people typically wed later than those who are not shy or anxious around other people.41
