At some time during the night the ship entered the FIPZ, which meant the usual change of rig once I got up, and then at just after 0900 we went to Action Stations for exercise, just to ensure, as far as I can gather, that the system still works. As it was Port Watch on, I spent the two jolly hours or so in the Operations Room, reading a book for all except five minutes, during which time I carried out one CCA, the first I had done for quite some time.
We came out of Action Stations at about 1100, but stayed in the FIPZ until 1930, when we reverted thankfully to a more normal style of dress and unlocked all the watertight doors again.
