At sea

To Action Stations again this morning at 0730, but only for an hour or so. Each time we go through the routine the time taken gets shorter: the first time it was almost three quarters of an hour before we were all closed up. Now we are down to a little over five minutes, which is quite a remarkable improvement.

With those games out of the way, it was back to the salt mines to try to catch up on the work that I still hadn’t finished over the week. The ship was working just off Portland, and came to anchor a few miles out at about lunchtime, and will remain there for the rest of the day and night, but we will be going alongside tomorrow early afternoon.
