At sea

A fairly quiet day on the whole, with very little activity anywhere. The submarine threat was reduced today when we went to ‘White’ alert, which is the lowest of the three threat states (White, Yellov and Red – we have been Yellow for the last couple of weeks), and so the ASW screen was abandoned and the Sea Kings returned home. The weather appears to have moderated as well, so perhaps the gods are smiling on us, just for a change.
