I want to thank my wonderful editor Izzy Everington and the rest of the team at Hodder Studio for their hard work making this book. With their help it has exceeded my wildest expectations. Thanks also to Elizabeth deNoma, who helped translate the original Danish book; Tara O’Sullivan, who helped spice up my English during editing; Lydia Blagden for the beautiful design of the cover; and Purvi Gadia for her diligence in guiding this book through its final stages.

I also want to thank my agent, Paul Sebes, Rik Kleuver, and the rest of the team at Sebes & Bisseling Literary Agency. Due to their brilliance, this book has truly gone global. At the time of writing it has been translated into twenty-two languages all over the world with no signs of slowing down. Getting a call from Paul and Rik is always exciting, but I’m particularly grateful for their instrumental part in making this translation possible – the translation into English, both the world language and the language of science.

I must also mention my lovely Danish publishers Louise Vind and Marianne Kiertzner at Forlaget Grønningen 1. Believe it or not, this book was rejected by every single major publisher in my home country at first. In fact, it took me longer to get it published than it took to actually write it. Fortunately, I eventually met Louise and Marianne who didn’t take long to make up their minds. The rest is history – our first print sold out on the day of the launch and Jellyfish Age Backwards became the number one bestselling nonfiction book of the year.

Finally, I want to thank all my loved ones and dedicate this book to them. The reason I want to stick around for a long time is to make many more memories with you guys.
