1. In a medium skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, until golden. Add the leeks and cook for 4 minutes more, until the bacon is brown and the leeks are softened. Reduce the heat to low and add the oil and vinegar. Cook, stirring, for 30 seconds.
2. Place the lettuce leaves in a large bowl. Pour the warm dressing on top. Toss well, and season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
