TED MANN is a reporter in the Wall Street Journal’s Washington bureau, where he is part of a team covering business and government. He was the beat reporter covering General Electric and other industrial conglomerates for the corporate bureau in New York from 2014 to 2017, and he previously covered transportation for the Greater New York section. Before joining the Journal, he covered politics and the Connecticut state government for The Day of New London. A graduate of New York University, he lives in Washington with his wife and son.

THOMAS GRYTA, a reporter in New York for the Wall Street Journal, covers General Electric and previously covered the American telecommunications industry. Before spending a year at Columbia University as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow, he covered the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He has worked as a copy editor and breaking news reporter, after breaking into journalism as a news assistant in London. He studied history at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and spent a year studying in Germany. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and children.
