It’s amazing how three ingredients can turn into something so delicious! If you prefer bacon, go ahead and substitute it for the prosciutto. To secure the prosciutto around the cabbage you’ll need toothpicks. Be sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes before using so they don’t burn in the oven.
Makes 12 servings
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a 9- by 13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Cut the cabbage into 1-inch-thick wedges and sprinkle with the pepper. Wrap each wedge with a slice of prosciutto. Secure with a toothpick.
Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Turn over each wedge and continue to bake for 10 to 15 minutes longer, until the cabbage is tender and the prosciutto is crisp. Serve warm.
