JEREMIAH TOWER began his career as chef and co-owner of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, and later ran several other successful restaurants, including Stars in San Francisco and the wildly successful Peak Café in Hong Kong. He is the author of Jeremiah Tower’s New American Classics and Jeremiah Tower Cooks, as well as the host of PBS’s America’s Best Chefs and the author of the companion book, America’s Best Chefs with Jeremiah Tower. In 1996 the James Beard Foundation named him the Outstanding Chef in America. Tower lives in New York City. His culinary memoir, California Dish, was published in 2003, his new book, Table Manners: How to Behave in the Modern World and Why Bother, is forthcoming in the fall of 2016. The Last Magnificent is showing at film festivals around the United States and in major theater markets starting in March 2017 and soon thereafter on CNN and Netflix.
