Notes on the Recipes
- All spoon measures are level: 1 tsp = 5 ml; 1 tbsp = 15 ml.
- Ingredients are given in metric, imperial and American measures. Use only one set per recipe; do not interchange.
- Ensure that all produce is as fresh as possible.
- Always wash, peel, core and seed, if necessary, fresh fruit and vegetables before use.
- Avoid adding salt for babies or using ready-made products that are high in salt, such as some stock (bouillon) cubes, granules or powder.
- Use fresh herbs unless dried are specifically called for.
- All cooking times are approximate and are intended as a guide only.
- Always preheat the oven, unless it is a fan-assisted one, and cook on the centre shelf, unless otherwise stated.
- Recipes suitable for freezing are marked (F).
