CHICAGO, Oct. 9 — A terrified man stumbled into Chicago FBI headquarters late yesterday afternoon and offered valuable information in return for what he called “sexual asylum.” He represented himself as being the leader of a vast subversive network dedicated to the destruction of the United States. He claimed to be a native of Brussels. He is undergoing psychiatric tests here prior to being flown to Washington for interrogation by intelligence experts.

Government spokesmen withheld the identity of the man but confirmed the existence of an organization similar to that described by him. Some bystanders said that the man was missing some hair and others noted that he had a scratched face and a swollen lower lip. He was nearly penniless except for a crumpled ten-dollar bill on which the picture of Alexander Hamilton bore a bright red moustache.

It is theorized that the man was once employed by a New York municipal service because the pocket of his shirt carried a monogram consisting of the letters NY.

As he was led to a security area the unidentified man waved a tiny American flag and sang “God Bless America.”
