Look, we made good money with the Scotti brothers. But Marsa Hightower, before she left the company, expressed concern about the ethics of how our finances were being handled. She once called my mom privately into the ladies’ room at the Scotti brothers’ office and urged mom to ask questions about the books. My mom asked our business manager about Marsa’s allegations, and he asked my mom, “Would she testify to that in court?” Mom went back and asked Marsa if she would, and was told no, she would not testify because it would end up costing her her career in the business. Sadly, Marsa is no longer alive and so we may never know why she made these accusations.
