Trains, buses and gyros define this ‘hood. From suburban 9 to 5-ers arriving on the Metra at Union Station to Megabus passengers traveling on a mega-budget, this is commuter central. While plenty of lofts have risen to jump start residential growth, there are an equal number of gritty pockets here, too.
