Map 17

Many a 19th-century suburb prided itself on wide lawns and tranquil settings, and Kenwood was no exception. Though it was annexed to Chicago over a century ago, the suburban feeling lingers. These days, the architecturally-enriched neighborhood contains everything from the residence of Louis Farrakhan to the oldest Jewish congregation in the city, KAM Isaiah Israel.
