Entryway

Imagine a place

where darkness and sin

are less than memory.

All light. No night.

Glory walking

up one holy boulevard

and down the next.

No sun, moon,

or lamp required.

It is a place of

dreams come true

chiseled from

love’s cornerstone

by the architect of wonder

each facade

glistening like gold

at high noon.

Open gates

flaunt the freedom

of the New Jerusalem.

Forget passwords

and secret codes.

Those written in

the Book of Life

those brimming with light

simply walk right in

the Lamb’s name beaming

from their foreheads—

the one tattoo

I am eager to receive.

Forever rolls out

like a carpet

and the Beloved are invited

to step lively.

This is a world

worth waiting for.
