11. The Pendulum and Your Future
Virtually everyone is curious about the future and what it will bring. Fortune-telling is still as popular as ever because people want to part the veil and see if the future will bring them a loving relationship, good health, and enough money to lead a happy and fulfilling life.
The pendulum is a useful tool to determine what lies ahead. However, because we have free will, we have the ability to change our futures. Consequently, what the pendulum indicates today may not necessarily be the outcome five years from now. What it will reveal is the most likely outcome based on the current situation. If the situation changes, the prediction will no longer be valid. I know many people who have completely turned their lives around, and as a result, changed their entire future.
A good friend of mine is a highly successful motivational speaker. Thirty years ago, he was a car thief who made his living by stealing expensive cars to order. Eventually, he got caught. While in prison, he listened as other inmates swore that they’d never return. He noticed that most of them did. He decided that would not happen to him. He was dyslexic, and learned to read and write while in prison. When he was released, he went to college and completed a degree. He then became a successful sportsman, entrepreneur, and speaker. If someone had asked a pendulum about his future before he went to prison, I’m sure the prediction would not have indicated the successful career he’s had since then.
Another problem is that we have the ability to influence the movements of the pendulum. The usual suggestion is to ask someone who has no interest in the outcome to ask the question for you. This is not always practical, but fortunately, there is another method that can be used.
Write the four possible answers your pendulum can make on pieces of paper, and place them inside envelopes. Mix the envelopes thoroughly, until you can no longer tell where any of the answers are. Ask your question, trying to remain as detached from the outcome as possible, while holding your pendulum over each of the envelopes in turn. The answer will be inside the envelope it indicates.
You might not be able to receive specific answers about the future, but you can determine the chances of success in any situation. You can do this using a pendulum chart that shows you the chances of success in the form of a percentage.
Future Time
Your pendulum can be used to predict the time a certain event will occur. If, for instance, you’re intending to replace your car, you can ask your pendulum to indicate when that will happen. It can measure the time in hours, days, weeks, months, or even years. You can do this by asking your pendulum a series of questions. Alternately, you can suspend your pendulum inside a glass and ask it how many weeks (or whatever period of time you wish) it will take to find the car you desire at a price you can afford. The pendulum will start moving and will tap the side of the glass a number of times to indicate the length of time.
My mother told me that her grandmother used this method to determine when visitors would arrive. She knew people would be paying her a visit on a particular day, but with no phones or any other way to contact them back then, she used her pendulum to tell her what time she had to be ready to greet them. I assume she determined the hour first, and then asked for the number of minutes.
You can also use your pendulum to part the veil and gain glimpses of the future. See use 25.
