By now, I hope you’ve discovered for yourself what an amazing instrument the pendulum is. However, like anything worthwhile, it takes practice to become good at using it. If you put time and effort into it, you’ll become a good dowser and will be able to use these skills to help yourself and others.
When I was a child, my mother used to tie her wedding ring to a length of cotton thread and use that as a pendulum. Every time anyone we knew became pregnant, my mother would be asked if the baby would be a boy or a girl. The mother to be and her close relatives all came to watch as the pendulum indicated the gender of the unborn baby. I’ve no idea what my mother’s success rate was, but can’t remember her ever being wrong. My siblings and I thought nothing of it. Dowsing with a ring was a perfectly normal activity in our world. Consequently, I’ve never known a time when a pendulum wasn’t part of my everyday life.
One of the reasons I wrote this book was because many dowsers use their pendulums for only one or two purposes. As far as I know, my mother never used her pendulum for anything other than determining the gender of unborn babies.
We’ve just looked at fifty ways to use a pendulum, but there are many, many more. Recently, I met someone who uses her pendulum to check her emails before she sends them. She asks if everything she’s written is correct and if the recipient will be able to understand what she’s written. If in doubt, she’ll write a message twice and ask the pendulum to decide which one of them she should send. She also asks if and when the recipient will respond.
Another person told me he had an addictive personality. Over a period of time, he used his pendulum to free himself from his addictions, working on one of them at a time. He now conducts classes teaching other people how they can do the same.
I met an unusual man at a dowsing convention some years ago. He used his pendulum to decide if he needed to visit a dentist. He’d touch each of his teeth in turn while holding his pendulum in his other hand. He’d avoid visiting his dentist as long as his pendulum gave a positive response to each tooth. He’d make an appointment if his pendulum gave a negative response on any tooth.
Although the pendulum is an amazing instrument, you must use your common sense along with it. For all important decisions, you need to gather as much information as possible before making up your mind. You can use your pendulum as just one of the methods you use to gain insight into a situation.
Your pendulum will enhance your life in many ways, and you’ll experience great joy and pleasure from using it to help yourself and others. I wish you great success with it.
