The reservation was almost a thirty minute drive, but they were able to make it there in fifteen as Rakshasa sped through the traffic. Sharad jumped out, took off his shirt and threw it into the car and slammed the door shut. "Ahtah!" He roared, shifting into his half tiger, half man form.
Almost immediately a swarm of wolves rushed towards him, some shifting as they ran.
Rakshasa put a hand on his brother, forcing him to shift back into his human form. "We wish to speak to your Alpha!" His other hand was extended to the werewolves, causing them to cringe back.
A kid, only about eleven, stood on the top of the main lodge with a rifle aimed at Rakshasa's head. "Hold, stranger. Sharad, I know what you're here for; shift again and we will tear you apart. Do you understand?"
Sharad turned to his brother. "That's Atreyu. He's the bastard's son."
"I can hear you, Sharad," Atreyu said, putting his finger on the trigger.
"Yeah! All right!" Sharad yelled. "Just take me to my daughter! I know you have her!"
Atreyu nodded to the wolves and they parted, allowing Sharad and Rakshasa to walk into a large house. Once inside they were taken to a large office where Patma was energetically talking to three other native girls her age. She broke off when she saw them come in. "Datty!" she yelled, running over to her father.
There was a man sitting in a large chair, his feet on his desk. He sneered at them, and motioned for the other children to be taken out of the room. Atreyu came in and propped himself on the desk as well, "Patma, do you wanna go get some ice cream while these guys talk about boring business?"
Patma tugged on her dad. "Please, Datty?!"
Sharad looked conflicted, and he struggled with keeping his emotions in check. "Okay, baby. We're gonna go home right after, okay?"
"Oh, but Datty, I wanna stay and play with the Lycans! They're so cute!"
"No, Patma!" Sharad yelled, but seeing his daughter's eyes water he quickly changed his tone. "Sweetie, we need to get home, ok?"
"Come on, Patma." Atreyu offered his hand to her. When Rakshasa caught Atreyu's scent, he grabbed his talisman. He looked between the father and son, confused.
Once Patma had left the room, Ahtahkakoop cracked his neck and smiled at Sharad. "It's hard to get your attention; I had to give you a message you couldn't ignore."
"I don't owe you so much that you can just steal my daughter!" Sharad yelled. "I can't believe you would do something so," he made a disgusted face, "evil."
Ahtahkakoop smiled at them. "Your daughter is very sweet, it would be a shame if something happened to her. I mean that. Truly."
Rakshasa put a duffle bag on the table. "This is half of what my brother owes you. He will give you the other hundred thousand in two weeks. I will make sure of it myself."
"Do that, or I will have my son pick Patma up again for another little play date." He smiled, pulling out a stack of money from the duffle bag. "By the way, you are welcome to go back into the casino, Sharad. With this you will no longer be banned."
Rakshasa turned on his brother. "You are still betting with them?"
Sharad shrugged his shoulders. "Ahtah told me I could cut my debts with them if I won."
"Why would you believe anything he says?"
"He's the alpha, his word is his bond."
Rakshasa looked at Ahtahkakoop, sizing him up. "This man is no alpha."
Ahtahkakoop snarled and slammed his hands on the desk. "What did you say?"
"I know what you are!"
Ahtahkakoop smiled. "Yeah? What's that?"
"Human. You aren't a Lycan, you're a throw back." Rakshasa turned to Sharad. "It's his son that commands the pack, but then you knew, that didn't you?"
Sharad huffed. "You just can't leave shit alone, can you?"
Ahtahkakoop clapped. "Well done Rakshasa. It's true what they say about you; you do have a sort of magic with the supernatural, don't you? Yes, my son is the Alpha, but I am still the chief here. My father's linage gives me leadership among these people, but you are right, I am human."
"Sharad! You let a human talk to you like this?" Rakshasa looked disapprovingly at his brother.
"His son is harder to deal with. It's just easier this way," Sharad said.
"Take your daughter home." Ahtahkakoop said and gestured towards the door. "And Sharad, I expect the other half to be paid in two weeks as your brother promised. Have a nice ride home."
Rakshasa glared at his older brother as the left the office. "Patma!" Sharad called.
"In here, Datty!" She yelled back. She sat on the counter in the kitchen, her legs covered in droplets of vanilla ice cream. Her nose had a small dot of white as well, and when she smiled at him she looked as content as could be.
Atreyu sneered at Rakshasa before leaning over her. "All right, little Patma. I will see you later."
She smiled and her eyes were huge and innocent as she looked up at him. "Promise?"
Atreyu again looked at Rakshasa before smiling back smugly. "I never break a promise."
Sharad picked Patma up and carried her towards the car, while she waved at all of the Lycan, unaware they had been her kidnappers. Once strapped into the backseat, Patma asked, "Why aren't you wearing a shirt Datty?" She pulled it out from under her and handed it to her father.
Sharad put it on quickly and took over the wheel. "Because Daddy had to shift. Are you okay, honey?"
Patma shrugged. "Yeah."
They began a less aggressive adventure home, taking the car at normal speed back towards the house. Rakshasa called ahead to his parents to let them know Patma was safe and sound, but when they were about fifteen minutes on the road Patma let out a sigh.
"What is it dear?" Rakshasa asked.
"I think if I had to get married to someone, I'd like to marry Atreyu." She sighed again. "He's amazing."
Both Rakshasa and Sharad let out an audible shudder of disgust.
Kyle knocked on the door to the familiar hotel room and waited. Logan smiled as he let him in. "You smell good. Did you just take a shower?"
"Yeah, I used soap even," Kyle said, making his way to the bed and sitting down. Vanessa perked her head up, and then buried herself further into her bed. "What did you want to do today?"
Logan sat next to Kyle, seemingly very uncomfortable. He laced his fingers together between his legs and stared at the wall. "I just wanted to be around you. Is that weird? I mean, that I didn't really think of anything to do?"
Kyle sighed and put a hand on Logan's shoulder. "Don't worry about it. Let's just order a movie and room service."
Logan nodded. "If you would like. When you rent the movie see if there is an option for descriptive audio."
"Sure." Kyle scrolled through the options and eventually found a movie they agreed on, Wolverine: Origins. With a laugh Kyle hit play and scooted back on the bed, resting his head on the pillows and kicking his shoes to the floor. He patted the pillow for Logan to join him, and he quickly took off his tie and shoes to join Kyle. Logan moved close to Kyle and took a deep inhale of his scent, seeming to enjoy the smell of it.
It was strange to hear a movie's action narrated, but watching Logan's reaction to the narration was worth it. It was the way the man smiled so that just his left canine peeked out, how he would chuckle deep in his throat and the small dimple that he would create, all incorporated into one motion of a laugh. It made goose bumps rise on Kyle's arms. Logan was handsome, there was no debating that, but the genuine look of amusement on his face was something Kyle had never considered that he would like. Logan was genuine, which was not typical for the men that Kyle usually spent time with.
Nearing the end of the movie, Kyle's hand began creeping down to Logan's groin, ever so slowly in case his efforts were thwarted. By the credits, Kyle's hand was rubbing circles on Logan's cock through his pants, enjoying the feeling of Logan getting harder under his hand. Logan's cheeks were red, but he didn't stop Kyle, nor did he stop Kyle from unbuttoning his suit pants.
Kyle pulled out Logan's cock, enjoying the feel of skin against skin. The sight of Logan's dick was amazing: it was a pale pinkish color except the head which was red and perfectly defined. Logan let out a long sigh of content when Kyle put his mouth around it, his pierced tongue stud rubbing against the rim. Kyle pushed away the pants flaps and situated himself between Logan's legs so he could be more comfortable, and have easier access.
While one hand was expertly jerking off Logan at the base of his penis, Kyle's mouth was busy entertaining the top portion. His tongue slid down the shaft with each stroke, with every fifth stroke he opened his hand and took the entire dick into his mouth briefly, only to go back to playing with the head. Kyle's eyes darted up to watch Logan's reaction. He was obviously trying to hold back his moans by biting his hand and was so far succeeding, until Kyle devilishly grazed his tongue stud against Logan's urethra.
"Ahh!" Logan moaned, his hand moving down to Kyle's head and pushing it forward so he swallowed Logan's cock down to the hilt. "Fuck."
Vanessa huffed and twirled in place so that she faced the wall, making a loud thud as she fell onto her bed.
Kyle felt the hot cum hit the back of his throat a moment later and he hurriedly swallowed it down. His tongue ran up and down Logan's shaft to force any more remaining into his mouth. Logan shook under him, letting out pants of pleasure as he lay back into his pillows. "Kyle, that was amazing." He huffed as he ran a hand through his hair.
Kyle took one last swallow before letting Logan's dick escape from his mouth. "You're very welcome."
Logan quickly tucked his penis back into his pants and zipped them up again. "Kyle, I don't know what to say, just … amazing."
Kyle hugged him and rested his head against Logan's shoulder. "I think I love you, Logan."
Logan stiffened, but put a reassuring hand on Kyle's shoulder. "I don't know why you would love someone like me." He kissed Kyle's hair, seemingly enjoying the scent that wafted into his nose.
A knock came to the door and Logan shot upright before relaxing again when a voice behind the door said, "Room service."
Logan walked to the door and opened it, getting his wallet out in the process. As he opened the door his nose twitched slightly; with wide eyes he attempted to close the door, but a force stopped him. It flung the door all the way open to reveal three very pale, blonde vampires standing in the entryway. "Where is she, hunter?"
Vanessa barked and growled at the new comers and rushed to Logan's side. The leader was dressed to the nines and had an elegant air about him. His hair glinted in the light, and he had striking eyes, but looked dangerous all the same. He looked at Kyle and smiled, making sure to reveal his teeth. "It was hard tracking you here hunter, but did you really think that stunt you pulled would really go unnoticed?"
Vanessa looked up at Logan who was at a stalemate with the other male vampire, who looked much more homely than the leader. Logan's strength was beginning to fail him as he struggled to keep the other vampire's wrists in his hands. "No, Vanessa. I can handle this," he said quietly.
Kyle looked over at a woman who was standing by the leader of the group; she wore a black shawl that covered her hair. There was an air of innocence about her, almost childlike. She stared blankly into the room, and didn't seem entirely present.
The leader took out a three sectioned cane and hit Logan with the end of it, making him cringe and recoil. As Logan fell backwards into the dresser Vanessa growled loudly and began to shift. Kyle watched in horror as her features disappeared, revealing naked skin, and her paws morphed into fingers and her snarling muzzle became that of a young girl. Quick as a flash Vanessa slid underneath the leader's legs and rushed towards the girl.
She kicked the girl's feet from under her, causing her to land heavily on the ground where Vanessa's other foot collided with her face. Then she scrambled up, still naked, and stood to face the leader in a stance Kyle had only seen in Kung Fu movies.
Logan recovered quickly to kick the vampire in front of him, who collided with the leader. He reached behind the nearby desk and grabbed a large briefcase before motioning to Kyle. "Come on, we haven't much time!"
Kyle looked at the vampires who were already getting back to their feet before jumping from the bed to the front door. Everything had happened in less than ten seconds and Kyle didn't know what to make of it all.
Vanessa rushed behind them, shifting back into a dog as she caught up to Logan and Kyle. Kyle stared at Logan in shock. "What the fuck? Who was that?"
Logan huffed as they ran down the stairs, leaping and bounding down the flights to the bottom floor. "No time! We have to lose them! How far behind are—"
Kyle looked back as they opened the exit door to see that the lead vampire had fallen through the small gap between the stairs from the tenth floor and landed safely in a crouch on the ground level. He stood and smiled menacingly at them. Before Kyle could react, Logan pulled him forward through the door before pulling it shut and bracing it with an iron pipe from the wall. "Keep moving because they will find another way around."
Kyle felt his heart racing as he looked up to Logan's eyes; they'd turned red like when he shifted. They walked through the lobby, trying to move quickly and with purpose but without drawing attention to themselves. Outside Logan hailed a taxi and they quickly piled in as Logan threw a twenty at the driver and said, "Get us as far away from here as you can."
Kyle shook his head. "I don't understand. I don't—" Kyle's eyes moved over Vanessa and looked her up and down. "What are you?"
Logan let out a breath of relief before turning to Vanessa. "That was too close." There was a pause before he said, "I know. I know I never should have let my guard down."
Kyle scooted away from Logan. "Is she … like us?"
Logan shook his head. "I told you I was the only one of thirteen candidates that Mala succeeded in turning right? Well there was one other, but she shifts opposite of us. She can only stay in her human form for a few minutes at a time, and on the full moon she becomes her human self."
Kyle looked over at Vanessa and then back to Logan. He slapped him across the face. "You let me blow you while she was in the same room?!" he shrieked.
Logan looked surprised at the slap, but then chuckled. "Well … It would have been strange for me to put her outside." Logan looked at her and then smiled. "Yeah, I guess we would have seen them coming if I had done that."
"Are you talking to her?" Kyle asked, looking between them.
"Yeah, telepathically," Logan said nonchalantly.
Kyle crossed his arms. "Ok, so who were they and what did they want?"
"Part of the vampire council. I guess we were a little too careless when we left a message with Roxanne."
Vanessa shifted back into her human form; Logan gave her his jacket as she sat on the seat. "I knew I shouldn't have gone overboard, I just get so caught up in the moment," she said. The girl sitting beside Logan had brown skin, almost bronze in color and thick, coarse black hair that curled behind her ears. She looked like a teenager; her frame was small, but muscular. "Taking out her teeth is probably what got them so riled up."
Logan smirked. "Anyways, the council has been looking for Mala for the past, well, thirty years. Mala's smart though, she knows the ins and outs of the council better than some who have been around five times longer." He frowned. "Well, better than anyone but Delmascus. He's persistent and he doesn't mind bending the rules to fit his agenda."
"I don't understand. What does the council really want with Mala? I mean she can't possibly be that important."
Logan quirked an eyebrow at Kyle. "The stories you've heard? They're just the half of it. It's true that Mala has been shutting down breeding pens and freeing Lycan slaves from the vampires, but it's more than that. She's taking over territories, destroying bloodlines and running the vampires out of states. All of Oklahoma is Mala's territory now."
"What? How? We would have heard—" Kyle looked out the window at the street with cars passing by. "How could we have been so out of the loop?"
"Mala has been keeping things quiet, and so have the vampires. They don't want to publicize their failures and she isn't ready to celebrate her victories. The point is that they need to get to Mala, because they are scared of the army she has been building. We outnumber the vampires so drastically already and with the biggest families getting assassinated, Texas will soon be taken over completely by the Mohegans."
"Mohegans?" Kyle asked.
"Mala was his sister, and she has decided to name the new army after him."
"That's enough, Logan!" Vanessa growled. "We can't trust him." She turned to Kyle with a look of disgust. "We don't trust you." She glared at him for a moment longer, before turning back to Logan. "We need to form a new plan. We can't lead them to Mala, but we need to send a message to her that her cover has been compromised. At any moment the vamp—"
The car suddenly screeched to a halt, causing the three passengers to fly forward, buffeting against the back of the driver and passenger seats. With a noise that sounded similar to a knife scratching at steel the top to the taxi was ripped off. Vanessa was the first back on her feet and she swung at the onslaught of vampiric nails and fangs that came at them. Logan kicked out the door and pushed Kyle out onto the street. The taxi was in the middle of traffic and the driver was dead, flung out of the windshield with blood splattered everywhere. Kyle could see Delmascus still had his foot on the hood from where he had stopped the car.
Kyle scooted away from Delmascus, his butt sliding against some of the shattered glass that lay on the asphalt. "Well, well." Delmascus sneered. "Aren't you a cute puppy?"
Logan was busy tumbling around with the brutish vampire from before, trying to get him off as they rolled around on the ground. His fist collided with the creature's mouth and nose, but the vampire just laughed manically, his mouth open and teeth bared.
Kyle could hear Vanessa struggling with more than one vampire in the close quarters of the car. There was a crunch of glass as Delmascus came closer to Kyle. His hands were in his pockets and there was a happy grin that spread across his face. "Such a pretty puppy. Come here." He offered his hand towards Kyle, and suddenly a calming feeling enveloped Kyle. His cheeks turned red as he looked up to Delmascus. There was no doubt that the man was good looking, but as he grew closer somehow he became even more handsome to Kyle.
The man's hand touched Kyle's cheek and a warm tingling shot through his body, and Kyle wanted nothing more than to have Delmascus touch him forever. A voice called to him, but it was faint and Kyle ignored it. He took Delmascus' hand and followed him into his waiting car.
