Joshua

The Winner!

What does it take to win? In sports it takes dedication, practice, and hard work. Spiritual victories take dedication too. And something else: obedience. You can enjoy spiritual victories if you keep looking to God for guidance and then live by his Word.

Joshua is a book about victory and defeat. Moses, who led the Israelites out of slavery, has died. Now under a new leader, God’s people must invade a heavily populated land. At Jericho and Ai, Israel learns the importance of obedience. It takes 10 years, but finally Canaan is subdued and the promised land is divided among Israel’s 12 tribes.
