Q: What did Zechariah see a scroll doing?
BONUS: When Zechariah lifted the lid on a basket, what did he find?
This verse is a prophecy Jesus fulfilled on Palm Sunday (see Matthew 21:1–11). Do you know why riding a donkey was significant? When kings in the ancient world went to war, they rode horses. When they visited a city in peace, they rode donkeys. King Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem to show he threatened no one, even though religious leaders in that city treated him as an enemy. Why not follow Jesus’ example? Be sure others realize you’re no threat to them. You’re not out to put them down or to win theological arguments. You’re there to be like Jesus: loving, caring and eager to help others whether or not they know the Lord.
Q: When Zechariah predicted Jesus’ betrayal, how much did he say the betrayer would be paid?
BONUS: Was that amount a lot of money?

What’s Ahead for the World?
Zechariah tells when Jesus would enter the temple that God’s people were rebuilding. Centuries would pass before God acted, but the time of God’s intervention would surely come.
