Hebrews

Churches.

There are lots of different Christian churches. Maybe you’re a Lutheran Christian. Or a Baptist Christian. Or a Catholic Christian. You think your own church is special, and it probably is. But more important than the brand is that word Christian.

First-century Jews who accepted Jesus as their Savior saw themselves as Jewish Christians. As God’s chosen people they felt special. Some began to think that “Jewish” was special enough without the “Christian”! The book of Hebrews is a reminder that what’s so special about “Christian” is Jesus Christ himself.
