AFTERWORD

It’s been a long time since I’ve written this fast without a single day off, and that’s a good sign. It means I’m bum-in-chair and excited about these characters. It means I’m interested in seeing what happens in this dark and dangerous little world, despite having a bullet-pointed plot printed out and sitting on my desk.

But what is it that appeals to you in this story? For me, it’s the broken, struggling character of Logan Fox. As the case went on, I couldn’t help but feel invested in his pain. That enticed me, even encouraged me. I was able to hurry the plot along without having him mope too much. It kept me interested – kept me writing every single day until it was done.

It doesn’t stop there, either. While I was writing this story, I was already plotting book two in the series. It was the epilogue that got me excited, ready to explore the coming events. If you’ve made it this far, you’re in on the little secret about Logan’s daughter. I can only hope it tickled your curiosity as much as it did mine.

Anyway, I’ve rambled enough. Suffice it to say, I’m eternally grateful that you made it to the end of this book, and I hope you found it worth your time. With any luck, I’ll see you in the sequel, where things are going to get really serious.

Want to make sure you don’t miss it? Follow me on Facebook here, or sign up to my spam-free newsletter to make sure you don’t miss a release or bargain. You can do that easily by clicking here. You’ll also get three bonus chapters featuring Logan Fox, and let me tell you, they’re not available anywhere else. It’s like our own little secret. Shh.

I’ve talked enough now. Please go ahead and enjoy the next one.

Best,

Adam Nicholls
